Lightweight & easy to use Contains the essentials, fits well in my pack. Shovel light weight, chops through snow, orange colour easy to see. Probe easy to assemble, read and visible. Transceiver easy to use and good features for flagging etc. Used on my AST 1+

Great package deal Latest S2 beacon is super easy to use with bluetooth programming. . I have yet to play with the training scenarios offered on the App. Shovel is lighter than others that I have and look to be a strong construction for digging in debris and the probe has yet to be used.

Love It! Went out and bought a new avalanche beacon for the season and got a new package set. After many years with a beacon from another brand. It was an incredibly smooth switch to the Barryvox S2 – sits really well on the body in the holster and doesn't get in the way and easy to use and understand. Have used the gear 20–30 times now and I'm very happy with it. Highly recommended.

Great essentials kit, everything you Great essentials kit, everything you need to start getting into the backcountry. Just make sure to practice with it, I recommend getting lithium aaa batteries to go with the beacon.

Great kit and great value It's just great kit. Big shovel with an extendable handle, but without hoe mode, so if you'd like that, you need to look elsewhere. The probe is well made and easy to throw together and the transceiver is peerless, although you do need to know how to use it. I'd recommend this pack without hesitation, especially on ExpertVoice.

Another Fantastic Product from Mammut Broke this set in with several trips across the northwest, including a multi-day trip in the coast mountains in British Columbia. Everything works as I would expect from Mammut. It's a quality, lightweight set.

A stupid amount of research A stupid amount of research led me to believe that this kit would serve me best, and it was right. The beacon is intuitive, the shovel solid and lightweight, and the probe reliable. I trust this gear.

Great deal, best beacon, but no hoe mode probably the best package/deal available to start with the best avalanche safety equipment, but i really wish the shovel came with the hoe-mode version. everything else is super straight forward: the barryvox is the best beacon available and a probe is a probe.
