  A pouch made of strong and durable material. Generally, it's unnecessary, as it's a bit stiff. It can hold a rain jacket, a thin long-sleeved sweatshirt, and snacks. It's worth improving the strap to attach a water bottle, both vertically and horizontally. Arcteryx should also offer a similar pouch, but with a larger capacity and a more flexible, stretchy material (e.g., like the Gamma softshell).

  This pack is essential highly water-resistant or as I like to say: "weather proof". I've never had a drop of water get inside this pack when it's sealed from rainfall (it's not waterproof so please don't try to submerge it).
