Description

Created in collaboration with British cult designer Nigel Cabourn, this sweater is part of a collection inspired by the 1969 first ascent of the Japanese Direttissima on the Eiger. The design is based on a sweater worn by the ascensionists during their pioneering feat. Knitted in one of the world's finest mills in Scotland, this pullover is crafted from wool, a material used by alpinists in the sixties for outerwear insulation thanks to its reliable warmth. The fully fashioned construction, vintage-inspired jacquard mammoth motif, striped cuffs and hem pay tribute to garments of the time. The Mammut x Cabourn Direttissima Wool ML Sweater echoes the timeless design of mountaineering styles.

    Warm, cozy and stylish Great quality and a good feel, a little baggy, but I’m a skinny guy so that was expected, and I prefer I baggier feel. Would greatly recommend, it got me many compliments this winter season. I don’t know how well it will perform as trekking/hikikg wear, feels a bit to heavy for that, but as a sweater to wear in everyday life it’s great!

    Top aber. . . !! Leider ist das Waschen des Artikel beim ersten mal, mit angaben des Herstellers nicht Optimal verlaufen. Daher habe ich denn 2 Pullover nur Chemisch Reinigen lassen.

    Lovely, heavyweight festive jumper. I’m a fan of Mammut kit. This is a quirky (and quite subtle take) on a Christmas jumper. Love it. Also, nice and long in the back (XXL) for a taller gent. I possibly could have gone a size smaller, but website didn’t give all the necessary dimensions.

    Last of Cabourn's Scottish Knitwear The jersey is great. Had to return the XL since it was way too big. Returns process was painless. L fits perfectly, I'm 6'2" and 87kg. RIP Nigel
