Perfect combination for maximum safety: The Smart 2.0 reliably blocks the rope in the event of a fall, while the Safety Gate prevents the Smart HMS from twisting in the belay loop of the climbing harness. An indispensable gadget for safe climbing.
New favorite belay device. I wanted to try out a new device after using a gri gri for a while now. The smart 2.0 is much lighter and very smooth to use. This device really shines for me when lead belaying it’s the smoothest assisted brake device you can get and not to mention at an awesome price point. 10/10 recommend.

Fuente: Mammut DELight belay Easy tool to use
Fuente: Mammut DEOne of my favorite devices of all time! Super comfortable to use! very safe, never dropped or slipped. I wish Mammut would make a smart Alpine 2 like they did with the first smart. Super light and compact, would highly recommend as a cheaper alternative to Grigri.
Fuente: Mammut DESuper product. Super product.
Fuente: Mammut DEI really like the anti I really like the anti cross loading carabineer. it makes one of the Smarts biggest weakness disappear
Fuente: Mammut DELove it So sleek and easy to use
Fuente: Mammut DEQuality Device Love the ease of use and love that it comes in pink! Bought two, one for a backup to keep at work and one back up for personal climbs. I find passive devices like this to be more intuitive for belaying and this one is super easy to pick up for first timers.
Fuente: Mammut DEBest belay device on the market Super easy and intuitive, very easy to translate from ATC and I prefer it to grigri because of how it works better with thinner ropes. I use it for lead belaying mostly and I must say the device can get noticeably hot when lowering someone 40-50 pounds heavier. I always recommend learning on ATC but if you want a more comfortable and safer option to upgrade too this
Fuente: Mammut DEMy favorite sport climbing belay device This has become my favorite because it's the right mix of safety and speed. It blocks better than some similar but smaller devices, yet also feeds so quickly. Super light weight. Also the carabiner is one of the best designs for the purpose of preventing cross-loading.
Fuente: Mammut DEamazing control love this for belay and lead climbing amazing abaility to ggive and take with enough practice love the finesse
Fuente: Mammut DERose! Mes filles sont ravies, Leger et pratique
Fuente: Mammut DEGood belaying device It does what it claims: auto-blocks, easy to handle, safe to belay with.
Fuente: Mammut DEWell Made, No Complaints I have only used this for top roping, and it has held up well so far. It is a super simple design, but it does its job quite well.
Fuente: Mammut DEI really love this belay I really love this belay device. Very smooth and easy to take and give slack once you get used to it. The one pet peeve I have with it is that it feels very weird when lowering someone.

Fuente: Mammut DEAlles bestens. Farbe vom Karabiner Alles bestens. Farbe vom Karabiner geht nur nach 3x Benutzen ab.
Fuente: Mammut DEvery nice eh belay type shi
Fuente: Mammut DEGreat for single pitch sport climbing or when working a route Easy to use once, like everything new, you figure it out, intuitive never the less. Holds well and is nice to have piece of mind if anything happens of for neubies. Assistance for belayer when working a route puts ATC style devices to shame! Also still worked on icy and wet ropes where the Grigri struggles.
