The biggest problem is that, in the push for an ever larger and louder logo, they moved it from the subtle, easily-folded spot near the neck to the most eye-catching position, right on the forehead. Breathability is limited when the balaclava gets damp around mouth area but tucking the neck part creates a tension, and space between nose and lips. I use it for winter cycling and the general quality is great. I am expecting it to last at least 5 years of regular use.

The Rho Balaclava feels lightweight and wicks sweat quickly, dries fast and breathes well. It hugs the head snugly without being tight. The material doesn’t itch and layers easily under a helmet or hat. Great for winter running, skiing, snowshoeing. If you have longer hair and like to pull it through the back, this balaclava doesn’t have that option.
