The card inserts are padded with fleece to prevent scratches. The coin compartment has a snap button closure and the wallet also features a compartment for banknotes and one with a mesh ID window. Nice little wallet. Fits multiple credit card and other small needed items with being bulky. My Driver License is slightly larger than the mesh window so it can be somewhat difficult to remove. My state makes DL's a little larger so the cops can read it. HAHA
