  I never thought a Hoe would be so beneficial It's a great shovel that turns into a hoe to assist in pulling snow from around the victim. I shopped quite a few shovels without the hoe feature and kept returning to the Alugator Pro.   Light and robust, very good shovel The shovel feels strong and the possibility to use it in hoe mode, combined with the "D" grip, makes it a very useful tool that will last for a long time. Compared to the Alugator Ride SE that I used before, it's bigger, the blade is about 4cm wider and 1cm longer, and the handle is longer as well, so before buying make sure it fits in your smaller backpack.

  Great Lightweight Shovel, High Durability This avy rescue shovel is very well built. It is easy to set up and use.   Light and capable, but long handle This is pretty close to a perfect avalanche shovel. It's light but sturdy, has a full grip, and supports either normal shovel mode or hoe mode (which guides agree let you move a lot more snow quickly).
