  Excellent because the system is excellent Only reason it doesn’t get five is the soft aluminum of the collar nuts atop the tank seem susceptible to damage during reset. More brass is better via general air canister convention and the vise wrap thing is quite unwieldy...   The Gold Standard I bring this with me as part of my backcountry kit, I've never had to deploy it, however at the end of every long trip and the end of the year I test it and is always reliable. I've found it easy to re-fill at local ski shops and dive shops and would recommend it to anyone.

  I mean, Its a Nice Cannister... Cannisters look nice and are well packaged, Comes with 3 extra burst disks. Tanks ship empty. Note: Allow shop about 2 hours to fill and get the pressure just right. Tank heats up when filled and when cooled may not be high enough pressure. I don't think you can release excess pressure without bursting the disk so its an iterative process.   This is required and not This is required and not included in the package for the avy packs so you have to buy this in addition to the pack. Yes it is a few extra dollars but you're looking at the pack, just do it you'll be fine. You also have to go get it filled which can be done by any scuba dive shop or by some snow shops for around 5$.

  Buy the empty one! This works really well with Mammut packs. I would buy the empty because it is cheaper and you can fill it up at a local scuba, or snowboard shop for $5-$10. Definitely recommend
