Featuring the largest blade in our shovel range, the Alugator Pro Light is all about performance when it matters most. The ergonomically-shaped T-grip provides efficient transfer of energy while shovelling, and stabilization ribs provide high resilience. The oval-shaped telescopic shaft ensures fast assembly. The straight blade back is also perfect for cutting snow profiles. In an emergency situation, every second counts, which is why our avalanche equipment meets the highest possible safety standards. All Mammut avalanche shovels are UIAA certified for efficient rescue and durability.

Feels sturdy (as expected from Feels sturdy (as expected from the brand) and light enough to carry during day-to-day mountaineering. Hopefully won't have to use to dig someone out of the snow. A Great Shovel for Building Jumps Bought this shovel to build jump on a resort. Shovel was easy to fit into a small backpack and did not add too much weight. The shovel was good for building jumps and moved a good amount of snow for its size.

Solid shovel This shovel is light weight. The handle feels solid once connected, and it breaks down small enough to fit in my avalanche back pack. Used it to help get my snow machines unstuck from a tree well.

Love this shovel This shovel is really sturdy, has a great design, you can move snow like crazy with it and a part of that is the extendable shaft. It’s not that heavy either so love bringing it in the backcountry to built jumps or look at some snow layers and of course you can dig some people out as well if you need to as well.

Lightweight and very functional Compact, lightweight, and very functional all for an excellent price. Used it on Mt. Washington to dig out campsites, cook tent and sitting area, and reinforce the setups after storms blew through. Shovel performed just as well as burlier and heavier models for everything except compacting the light powdery snow.
