Description
The Taiss Guide softshell pants offer our collection’s most rugged weather protection. Developed for mountaineering and ski touring. The rugged 3-layer membrane fabric is completely windproof and, thanks to its PFC-free waterproofing, offers dependable protection even in the harshest conditions. After demanding sections, open the hip-level ventilation zippers. The elastic Velcro closures on the waist and leg seams with elastic gusset and zipper let you adjust the pants for a perfect fit. The Taiss Guide is lightweight and has many other features, such as zippered climbing harness-compatible pockets and reinforced leg hems to protect against scuffing from ski edges and crampons. Wear these pants and you’re sure to enjoy days in the mountains even when the weather takes a turn for the worst.

Wish I could give them 5 stars. . . I've had these for about two years and I've done a lot of rock climbing and hiking in them. They are 5 stars in almost every way. . . except durability, sadly. They're really coming apart in the knees now. Additionally, the thigh pocket zipper has broken. For the price, I would hope they'd last as long as some of my other comparable pieces. My much smaller grip

Good Quality but way too Tight Bought the 34 Waist and it is a great fit at the waist but way to tight around the legs and groin. It limits flexibility to the point that I don't want to use it. Sad there are no returns.

waist button is light duty The pants are great except the button at the waist is small and unsnaps very easily, like every time you bend over. I'm going to have to order a heavy duty button and take it to an alteration place to have it changed out.

not the good shape After four ski tours, I know that they dont fit me. They are long enough, but they are too low on my waist. . . it's not comfy. It's annoying because on the technival level, they are amazing! Unfortunately its too late to send them back.

They have some of the They have some of the best features for mountaineering and ice climbing. They have one drawback in my opinion and that is where the crotch sits it doesn’t allow as much flexibility as I would’ve preferred. These are great pants for These are great pants for being up in the mountains in all kinds of conditions. I like the internal feel against the skin; there is no need for a base layer unless the temps drop below freezing. They seem very durable. One missing feature is traditional belt loops. There is a built-in velcro belt feature to tighten the pants. I found the pants button would pop open under

Definitely rugged and kept me Definitely rugged and kept me dry while climbing dripping wet ice in warmer temps. The fit is a little bit loose and get a weird shape when you tighten the velcro on the cuffs. This eaves a little too much material to catch a crampon on (in my opinion).

Best outer layer ever! Taiss hard shells and soft shells are amazingly comfortable with room for layers underneath. They are great in cold and wet weather, especially when you need flexibility from being on the move. Buy Mammut Taiss, you don’t be dissapponted!

well built touring pants so far so good! after bad luck with zipper blow outs on 2 pairs of Outdoor Research pants in a row i'm enjoying the more sturdy construction on these. I love the short cut, for once I own a pair of ski pants with the correct inseam. Good weight for not overheating uphilling while still burly enough to keep you warm.
