Great all round as a cold weather base-layer Early days, however when used as a base layer this is excellent. The extra thickness on the shoulders is great for a backpack, and the overall design and fit are exceptional. Ideal for a winter base.

For when you need that little bit of extra warmth I found that on days when temps were 25-35F, it would be too warm to wear a base and midlayer, yet too cold for just base a base layer. This jacket is the perfect balance between midlayer and baselayer, allowing you to wear it on extremely cold days, or days where it was too cold to just be in a thin baselayer.

belfer A warm but very light sweatshirt, perfect as a second layer. Size M for 180 cm and 70 kg fits perfectly and the length does not come out from under the harness. In case of wind, it is worth wearing a windbreaker.
