The recycled 20D Pertex® Quantum downproof outer fabric enhances thermal performance, while a DWR treatment and Diamond Fuse technology boost weatherproofness and durability. the Mammut Eiger Nordward is the Mammut Eiger Nordward is the perfect cold weather puffer. The there is a generous amouny of 900 fill down that is incredibly warm and still packs down to a small volume. When worn, it is not overly voluminous so fits easily under most shells. The adjustable hood is great with or without a helmet as are the pocket locations allowing access with a pack waist strap. I

Keeps the Brrrrr away. While glassing for late season bull elk in Colorado this hooded jacket fended off the frigidity with ease. It’s very light weight and even though the jacket isn’t designed for hunting, it is amazingly quiet compared to other down jackets, the KUIU Super Down Jacket comes to mind. With its lightweight construction and Dry Loft down it is a great jacket for cold weather trips
