Featuring a minimalist design, these pants reduce weight without compromising protection on high-intensity ascents. 88% recycled Mammut FLEXGUARD combines breathability and 4-way stretch for prime performance in alpine conditions. The climbing-specific fit with crotch gusset follows your every movement when navigating challenging terrain. Double woven with high twist yarn and Dyneema®-reinforced inserts make this softshell abrasion-resistant and durable. Rigorously tested by our athletes, the Eiger Nordwand Light SO Pants excel at all-day comfort from warm valley floors to windy peaks.

    Waist design brings down these pants The pants are OK, but the drawstring waist is poorly designed, and way too loose compared to the fit on the rest of the pants. Mammut Massone Light pants had a much more elastic waist, with a much better drawstring on the outside.

    Fit and fabric are good. Fit and fabric are good. The drawstring in the waist band is not ideal for a pant that is used for mountaineering. The leg pocket does not fit an iPhone comfortably. I like the knee patches for mountaineering.
