A durable hard shell jacket for year-round use in alpine environments. The 3-layer Mammut DRY Expedition laminate makes this layer waterproof, windproof, and extremely breathable. Ripstop fabric provides extra durability. Two chest pockets and an adjustable storm hood fit perfectly with your climbing harness, backpack, and helmet. The high cut gives you room to move without the jacket riding up. Recycled polyamide fabric and easily repairable hood and hem drawcord also embody our Resourceful Performance philosophy. Our design approach maximizes performance with fewer resources, creating more environmentally conscious products for the most extreme conditions. The Taiss HS Hooded Jacket combines weather protection with climbing-ready features.

Annoying zipper Used this jacket on a Rainier summit and some hikes in the Pacific Northwest. It keeps me dry well enough and I like the pocket placement, especially when wearing a climbing harness. The zipper is the most annoying I have ever had on a jacket, however. It keeps getting stuck all the time, no matter which hand I use or which direction i pull. I don't think I would buy this jacket

Robust, leicht und dicht Etwas großzügig geschnitten für meinen Geschmack. Lüftungsöffnung unter den Armen ist prima. Anpassung der Mütze muss ich noch tüfteln, das war spontan nicht ideal für mich.

Excellent rain protection! The jacket protects against the rain very well - it kept me dry through 8 hours of rain in Madeira. It performs great in mountainous terrain. The long sleeves don't restrict movement, and the vents do an excellent job of regulating temperature.
