Smart 2.0
MammutIntuitive belay device with reliable blocking of the climbing rope. The first generation of the Smart belay device was successfully launched in 2009. Built on the experience the new Smart 2.0 offers significantly improved braking effectiveness as well as optimized geometry and intuitive handling. The newly developed brake insert blocks the rope in the event of a fall. The belaying action of the Smart 2.0 is the same as the previous model and is therefore tailored to the belayer's reflex movements.

Smart HMS 2.0 Screwgate Carabiner
MammutHMS carabiner with safety mechanism to prevent accidental lateral loading. The new and improved version of our popular safety carabiner impresses with an improved construction, higher breaking load and reduced weight. It still offers the same double safety and easy handling. The screw locking can be operated only when the safety gate is open. Accidental opening is excluded, as well as unintentional twisting of the carabiner in the belay loop of the climbing harness. This prevents dangerous lateral loading. Mammut recommends use of the Smart HMS 2.0 carabiner for the Smart 2.0 belay device.

Smarter Belay Package
MammutThe must-have package for beginners as well as for climbers seeking a higher level of safety. The Smarter provides additional safety for the Smart 2.0 belay device and blocks falls even in case of misuse (for example, when the braking hand is held in the wrong position above the belay device). The belay loop prevents the Smart HMS carabiner from twisting in the harness's belay loop.
